ES1-212 Exhibitor Seminar Media Cyber Resilience: Ensuring Uninterrupted Broadcasting in the Era of Cloud and IP Transformation

Broadcasters' systems are evolving from “closed facilities” to “open infrastructure” through IP and cloud adoption. While this enables new value creation through AI utilization and collaboration with diverse external partners, it will also bring higher risks in information handling. This presentation proposes an approach to achieve robust resilience. It focuses on preparing for risks of broadcast and operational shutdowns caused by ransomware attacks and similar threats, and implementing mechanisms for visibility, control, and recovery based on a zero trust foundation.

ES2-212 Exhibitor Seminar Intelligent Cloud-Native Playout "Vipe" -Introduction of BCNEXXT's "Vipe" innovative technology, IIJ Cloud, and OTT integration case study-

    1.Intelligent, Adaptive Playout

BCNEXXT's cloud-native playout solution “Vipe” achieved significant cost reductions and stability for linear program delivery through its groundbreaking architecture. Its “only pay for what you play” model for live delivery transforms high fixed infrastructure costs into variable expenses, reducing operational overhead, improving the channel-to-operator ratio, and lowering hardware requirements. Vipe employs a fully adaptive architecture that scales CPU or GPU resources based on the complexity of each scheduled event, rather than a rigid one-to-one channel-server model. This seminar explains how advanced machine learning analyzes upcoming content and pre-applies resource labels to enable on-demand deployment of containerized microservices. We will also discuss the adoption and evaluation status of Vipe's cloud-native playout solution in the European and US markets.
