The one-man telescopic crane.

Shotoku Systems have announced and presented a telescopic crane, on show for the first time. Characterized by its one-man operability, this labor-saving device can be used even in creative video productions. It's suitable for on-location or on-set filming applications, and its compact 3.5 meter size makes it perfect for one-man operation.

The company also exhibited their SP series. These are tripods designed for all kinds of uses from ENG class cameras to hand-held applications. This simple design does away with balancing mechanisms, and balances well when matched with 5k and 10k class cameras. The torque can be adjusted to 2 settings. These approaches have kept manufacturing costs down, so the device is available at a reasonable price.
