■ New V-Mount batteries equipped with D-Tap output to debut at the event.
V-Mount batteries for broadcast and industrial use are the company’s main products. At Inter BEE, they will debut two new V-Mount batteries, the E-HL10DS and CUE-D75. The E-HL10DS, succeeding the existing E-HL9S, is a high-power battery using a high-endurance cell. The capacity has increased to 96Wh and maximum output to 120W/10A, and it has one D-Tap connector. The E-HL10DS will ship in January 2015.
The CUE-D75 succeeds the E-7S. As a V-Mount battery, it is compact and yet the capacity has increased to 72Wh and the maximum output to 59W/4.9A, compared to the E-7S's 68Wh capacity and 50W/4.6A maximum output. It also has one D-Tap connector. The price of both batteries is set as the same price of the batteries that they replace. The E-HL10DS is ¥47,000 (excluding tax), and the CUE-D75 is ¥29,000. The CUE-D75 will be announced at Inter BEE, with shipping expected to start in December.
■ Exhibition and demonstration of CW-25 wireless video transmission system with up to 2K transmission and tally and return communications.
IDX's wireless video transmission system attracts a great amount of attention every year. The new CW-25 to be exhibited enables a transmission distance of 40 m, extendable to 2 km with the external antenna (sold separately), enabling both transmission and reception. The CW-25 is a wireless transmission system using a 2.5GHz band wireless LAN standard. Its key feature is the long-distance transmissions made possible with the 4×4MIMO, OFDM, and beam-forming technology. It is also the world's first wireless transmission system to have video main line signals, as well as communication functions enabling intercom, tally, and return line transmissions.
Mitsuharu Shiba explained, "Communication between the cameraman and control center has now been made to be easy. By attaching a network camera to the transmitter's LAN port, the control center can immediately see the cameraman's surroundings. The control center can thereby give the cameraman more precise instructions." He added, "The booth will demo the CW-25 and show how it differs from the old model."
■ LEM-250C 24.5-inch Full HD organic EL monitor to debut in Japan.
The booth will also show Korean manufacturer TVLogic's professional LUM-300W 31" LCD monitor (4K resolution and 10-bit drive) and the LEM-250C 24.5" Full HD organic EL monitor. The LUM-300W is a 4K/DCI/2K/HD LCD monitor with a 31" 4096 × 2160 resolution, 10-bit driven panel. The 4K resolution can be displayed as a full screen or as four simultaneous Full HD screens. For the input I/F, it includes Displayport × 2, 3G-SDI (BNC) × 4, and HDMI × 4; and for the output I/F, it includes 3G-SDI × 4.
The LEM-250C is a 24.5" Full HD (1980 × 1080) OLED monitor. For the input I/F, it includes DVI-I × 1, CVBS/S-Video/Component/RGB (VGA) × 3, 3G-SDI/HD-SDI/SD-SDI × 2, HDMI × 1, and EXT SYNC × 1. For the output I/F, it includes CVBS/S-Video/Component/RGB (VGA) × 3, 3G-SDI/HD-SDI/SD-SDI × 2, and EXT SYNC × 1. While the LUM-300W is already on sale, the LEM-250C will be debuting at Inter BEE.
