[Inter BEE 2014 TV] Ikegami Tsushinki Co.,LTD. New HC-HD300 HDTV dockable camera shown for the first time. While retaining the same performance and quality of previous models, the camera has a new price appealing to the CATV market.
Ikegami exhibited at Inter BEE 2014 held during November 19th (Wed.) to 21st (Fri.) and showed the new HC-HD300 HDTV camera for the first time. It is a 1/3-inch 3-CMOS HDTV camera from their UnicamHD line of HDTV dockable cameras for broadcast use. While retaining the high reliability, image quality, and product quality of their broadcast cameras, the HC-HD300 provides a new price point to target and expand into the CATV and education markets.
The HC-HD300 has a newly developed 2.5 million-pixel 1/3 inch 3-CMOS sensor. Based on UnicamHD HDK specifications, the sensitivity is F10 (1080 / 59.94i) at 2000 lx, and the S/N ratio is 58 dB. The electronic shutter provides five speeds from 1/100 sec. to 1/2000 sec. The 1/3-inch bayonet lens mount accepts the optional Fujinon XT17sx4.5BRM 17x zoom portable lens, Canon KT20X5B KRSD 20x zoom, and other lenses.
With the Fujinon mount adapter, 1/2- and 2/3-inch zoom lenses can also be attached.
The HC-HD300 retains the key features of the UnicamHD line. They include the Focus Assist Function to assist the frame work and focusing by a single operator, Digital KNEE (dynamic compression) technology to retain colors in highlights without changing the hue, and lens chromatic aberration correction.
For the dockable module, a camera adapter, fiber adapter, and digital triax adapter are provided. The fiber adapter is a newly developed dedicated adapter (FA-300). When coupled with the 1.5RU-size base station (BSF-300), it can be used for diverse recording applications such as live broadcasts from a studio.
The fiber cable uses Neutrk Limited's opticalCON DUO. This new lightweight hybrid mode fiber cable can handle all operation signals such as tally and intercom, camera control, and reference signals.
To supply power, the cable can be extended up to 250 m (up to 350 m with 2-inch VF) or up to a maximum of 10 km with a separate power supply.
The camera and FA-300 together weighs 4.5 kg. The size with FA-300 is 138.5 mm (W) x 270 mm (H) x 337 mm (D). Retailers are free to set the price. The camera will ship in December.
