【Inter BEE 2015 TV】Intel (XLSoft) displays Intel software for rapid development of products with 4K/8K HEVC support
Intel’s booth at Inter BEE 2015 (Video and Broadcasting Equipment Division, Booth No. 5504) exhibited the company’s Intel VCA, Video Quality Caliper, Intel Video Pro Analyzer, and Intel Stress Bitstreams and Encoder. The range of products supports development of software and hardware products featuring next-generation codecs such as HEVC and VP9. The lineup featured tools for checking encoding quality as well as video files that exert special stress, enabling products to be brought to market in a timely manner and quality to be enhanced in a short period of time.
The video analytics tool, Intel Video Pro Analyzer, supports HEVC, VP9, and AVC. It enables users to easily grasp how a given video is being encoded by visually displaying the coding flow for video compression standards, heat maps, frames, motion vectors, and predicted frames.
Using the attached Video Quality Caliper tool graphs the video quality of multiple standards, allowing users to visualize quality at a glance. The tools make it easy to compare the quality of multiple videos by referring to target frames from the graph or outputting the same frame image side-by-side on the screen.
The Intel Stress Bitstreams and Encoder provides a variety of features for testing HEVC/VP9 decoders. By exerting special stress, the Stress Bitstreams and Encoder makes decoder issues obvious.
These products can drastically reduce the time needed for evaluating encoder/decoder performance and uncovering issues, as well as drastically reducing the time spent on quality control.
