【Inter BEE 2013 TV】NTT Group/NTT Advanced Technology exhibit their latest video codec products for the first time domestically

NTT Group/NTT Advanced Technology are exhibiting their latest video codec products, "XVE9310" "HVE9230" "HVE9210" "HVE9110" and "HVD9130" for the first time domestically. They are also conducting demos of MPEG-DASH using HVX500, and a live distribution demo in ASTRODESIGN's booth using IPDC. 

■ 4K/60p compatible, 2ch encoder "XVE9310"
The "XVE9310" is the successor to the full-HD 2ch synchronous transmission supporting AVC/H.264 HDTV/SDTV encoder "XVE9300." Along with its predecessors high definition, high functionality and stability, the AVC/H.264 encoder has additional features and improvements such as support for transmission of support data, and improved image quality thanks to a high efficiency mode. For video input there are two lines of SMPTE292M/SMPTE259M BNC. For video through output there are two lines of SMPTE292M/SMPTE259M BNC. For external clock input there is one BNC line. For output interfaces there are two DVB-ASI BNC lines and two 100Base-TX/1000Base-T (RJ-45) lines.
 Both 3D and 2ch transmission is possible, and support data can be transmitted on both of the 2ch. Also, MUX is built-in, and by cascading two units 4K video can be transmitted.

■ 10bit 4:2:2 decoder "HVD9130"
 "HVD9130" is a 10bit 4:2:2 AVC/H.264/MPEG-2 supporting decoder, and paired with "HVE9110" "HVE9210" "HVE9230" and "XVE9310" it allows for low delay transmission. By cascading two units you can achieve 3D playback, and cascading four units will allow 4K playback.
 In the booth they showed a demonstration of 4K 60p video transmission using a combination of XVE9310 and HVD9130.

■ Super low latency, high definition encoder "HVE9210," and 16 sound channel, high definition encoder "HVE9230"
 "HVE9210" and "HVE9230" are AVC/H.264 HDTC/SDTV encoders that combine the high definition, high functionality and stability of the "HVE9200" with additional features and improvements such as support for transmission of support data and improved image quality thanks to a high efficiency mode. For video input there are two lines of SMPTE292M/SMPTE259M BNC. For video through output there are two lines of SMPTE292M/SMPTE259M BNC. For external clock input there is one BNC line. For output interfaces there are two DVB-ASI BNC lines and two 100Base-TX/1000Base-T (RJ-45) lines.
 As an example of a practical application for transmission, it is possible to transmit a raw high quality image with a super low delay of one frame, which is perfect for sending Japanese subtitles or closed captioning, meaning it can be used in AVC/H.264 distribution for IPTV or CATV etc. Also, "HVE9230" supports 16ch/8PES sound (used overseas), allowing for transmission of Stereo x 8 pairs and (5.1 + stereo) x 2. This makes it perfect for live feeds of international events where audio tracks for various languages will be required.

■ AVC/H.264 & MPEG-2 supporting, high definition encoder "HVE9110"
 "HVE9110" is a MPEG-2 to AVC/H.264 HDTV/SDTV real time trans-coder. It maintains the high definition, high functionality and stability of the "HVE9100" while featuring support data transmission, improved image quality via high efficiency mode, and support for a one frame super low delay during AVC/H.264 encoding. For video input there are two lines of SMPTE292M/SMPTE259M BNC. For video through output there are two lines of SMPTE292M/SMPTE259M BNC. For external clock input there is one BNC line. For output interfaces there are two DVB-ASI BNC lines and two 100Base-TX/1000Base-T (RJ-45) lines.
