With the cooperation of the "TBS DigiCon6" video contest, which will attract participants from ten regions across Asia, we will bring you a lecture provided by invited video creators and producers from Japan and overseas.
Guests include the film director,
Mr. Adisorn Tresirikasem, who won the best director award at the Shanghai International Film Festival for the film, "My Girl".

Top creators from the Japanese video game industry are also due to participate. Additionally, booths for domestic and international production companies will be established this year as a collaborative project, where the latest videos making use of new digital CG and VFX will be introduced, providing an opportunity for content creators to become familiar with these works.

Introduction of excellent works at 14th TBS DigiCon6 (DigiCon6 Asian Creator's Talk)

Collaborating with the “TBS DigiCon6 Awards” project that started in 2000 to find and foster video creators, and the collaboration has expanded with 10 Asian areas now. Talented creators who won highest awards in different areas will talk about their works and the contents production environment.

DigiCon6 Top Creator Session 1

Graduated from Chulalongkorn University, the faculty of Communication Arts in 1996. After participated in production of a film “Angulimala” as the scene manager, his talent was recognized by a producer of a film company and directed “My Girl” with five of his friends. This movie won the Best Director Award in 7th Shanghai International Film Festival. His third film, “BTS-Bangkok Traffic (Love) Story” recorded the highest box office revenue in Thailand of 2009. In his forth work, “Seven Something” directed with two other directors, he directed the second part of three parts, “21/28”, which made a great success in Thailand. This film is due to be released also in Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

DigiCon6 Top Creator Session 2

Born in Shimonoseki city, Yamaguchi prefecture in 1965. Majored in Film, Department of Design at the Tokyo Zokei University and after graduated from the university, entered SEGA CORPORATION. At present, he is the director/Chief Creative Officer (CCO) at SEGA. Produced a driving game “Daytona USA” in released in 1994 and marked a huge hit. As one of top game creators in Japan, he also produced works for family use such as “Ryu ga Gotoku (Like a Dragon)” series. Five million copies of this work were shipped out and “Monkey Ball” series, four million copies. He casually appeared in “Ryu ga Gotoku/theatrical version” playing a conspicuous part.

Example of theatrical VFX work: Making of Space Brothers VFX

Entered Omnibus Japan Inc. in 1999. As the CG director, directed VFX scenes for ”Kantoku Banzai”, TV-CM “NTT DoCoMo Data Communication “Tetsujin 28 (Gigantor)”. ”SPACE SHOWER TV "HOT Title" and “CR Space Battleship Yamato 2 (Fujishoji)” that he planned and produced were highly recognized and released in SIGGRAPH2007 and 2009 respectively. He talks about the VFX scenes whose high quality drew much attention.

Next-generation radio as “an emergency radio in every home”

This session considers how regional radios can contribute possible Tonankai earthquake along the Nankai Trough based on the lessons learned from the Great East Japan Earthquake. Areas the speakers are from predict severe damages from Tonankai earthquake and this session attempts to make next generation radio for V-Low band based on how such radio is understood or challenges for the future.

New radio culture cultivated by new generation radios

One of the features that new generation radio is said to have is its “disaster proof feature”. We think it as a prerequisite and potential of it shall be discussed more. The concept of next generation radio will be examined in terms of: whether V-Low band digital radio business will succeed as local media or not, how about receivers, how about contents or other points of view.

Introduces actual examples that utilized Pre-Visualization in film production. The topic will be the real-time Pre-Visualization method that checks scenes being filmed on the real-time basis not by more popular method, simulation with CG movies. This technique is extremely effective to carry out Pre-Visualization for movies or other works that contain a number of scenes. We strongly encourage visitors to view and take advantage of this opportunity to inspire your film production.
