Choosing the right 4K, 6K and higher resolution cameras for your productions is a very important choice. In addition to choosing the right camera system you must be able to shoot with the camera effectively. Working with a particular camera’s features effectively and also using external devices for monitoring and recording can be critical to a project’s success. Especially at 4K and higher resolutions. This session will talk about and demonstrate what these choices really mean so that attendees can walk away understanding what they should be looking for in 4K and beyond camera systems to achieve cinematic results in documentary, corporate and narrative productions.

From Production to Post: Working with Log & Luts in Production and into Post : Mr Jem Schofield
[Abstract]
Most modern digital camera systems allow for Log based recording. This “digital negative” gives productions a huge advantage in terms of what can be done with footage once acquired.
In order to work effectively with Log footage you must first understand its implementation in a particular camera system and how to work with Look Up Tables (LUTs), in both production and post to make the production to post workflow successful on a project.
This session will take attendees through the process of successfully working with Log in production environments by using scopes and display/monitor LUTs to make sure they are getting the most out of their recordings.

Color Grading For a 4k Plus World With DaVinci Resolve:Mr Robbie Carman
[Abstract]
This session shows how to setup a DaVinci Resolve system to optimally work with the demands of 4k+ footage. Discover how to best approach grading Log encoded and Raw footage with Resolve including best practices for different Raw formats and working with LUTs. Learn how apply advanced color management to projects including using ACES and BlackMagic's own Resolve color management system. We'll also cover a wide variety of grading options with high resolution footage including framing & matting options, adding grain, and emulating popular film stocks.

Color Workflow With Adobe Creative Cloud:Mr Robbie Carman
[Abstract]
This session shows new color workflows using Creative Cloud applications like Adobe Hue, Premiere Pro, After Effects & SpeedGrade. Learn how to capture color and contrast in the field with your phone and Adobe Hue and then be able to use that information as as starting point for your color corrections in Premiere Pro & After Effects. Premiere Pro CC 2015 has made it easier then ever to color correct and grade projects with the introduction of the new Lumetri Color Panel, learn how to quickly make primary & secondary color corrections as well as create stylized looks with these new tools. We'll also cover the essentials of a Direct Link workflow with Adobe SpeedGrade.
