■ Exhibition slogan "WHAT WILL YOU DO NEXT? - Telling the World of the Possibilities of New Media."
The excitement of such possibilities was simultaneously conveyed from a satellite relay to the world for the first time in 1964 – the year prior to the 1st Inter BEE exhibition.
Inter BEE, which has been held as an opportunity to showcase broadcasting and media technical innovations for over half a century since 1965, will be held under the slogan: “Telling the World of the Possibilities of New Media" in preparation for 2020.
■ Expected record number of exhibits due to expansion of the exhibition hall
Seven international exhibition halls (46,700m2) will be used at Makuhari Messe for Inter BEE 2016. (Six halls / 40,000m2 at Inter BEE 2015), and the exhibition will be organized into four exhibit categories: “Professional Audio Equipment,” “Video Expression/Professional Lighting,” “Video Production/Broadcast Equipment” and “ICT/Cross-Media.”
In addition, although 996 companies exhibited at last year's exhibition, this year is expected to see a record number of exhibitors.
■ Expansion of diverse categories widening the breadth of the exhibition and further development of new projects towards major movements
○INTER BEE IGNITION New category
Combining potential growth areas of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), new video expression technology such as holograms, and live entertainment technology, new projects that promote the possibilities of new media will be exhibited.
