Now that the shift to terrestrial digital broadcasting was completed in March last year, efforts are being stepped up in Japan to increase the sophistication of broadcasting services in the world of broadcasting equipment business. On the other hand, there is a demand for broadcasting equipment and solution proposals incorporating highly-promising fields. This includes: new services that match the increasingly diverse viewing environment; the "fusion of broadcasting and communications"; and new entertainment services.

Based on these conditions, Inter BEE is highly favored by professionals from broadcasting, video, audio, lighting and media businesses as a "Professional Exhibition for Audio, Video and Communications", where top-level broadcasting, video, audio and lighting equipment, IPTV, Mobile TV, cross-media, periphery applications and solutions from Japan and abroad are all assembled under one roof.

In its role as a global promoter of cutting-edge technological capability, Inter BEE distributes industry information to domestic and overseas markets in response to professionals' needs and provides an opportunity for effective and meaningful information exchange and business creation for exhibitors and visitors alike.

This year's exhibition will be hosted by the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) with the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK), the Japan Commercial Broadcasters Association (JBA), and the Association of Radio Industries and Businesses (ARIB). It will be held at Makuhari Messe for a three day period from 13th to 15 November.
